Ines Gaschot is a dog trainer in Buffalo NY. She is an internationally renowned dog trainer and teacher with 10 years of experience in canine behavior. Ines runs The Modern Dog Trainer, whose mission is to bring the dog training industry into the 21st century by giving trainers tools and information that will inspire proper pet ownership around the world.
Ines Gaschot holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed. She has also Earned a Certificate of Excellence from Living and Learning with Animals: The Fundamental Principles and Procedures of Teaching and Learning by Dr. Susan Friedman.
Ines’ popular dog training blog, The Crossover Trainer, shares her experiences of transitioning to reward based training from correction based dog training. The Crossover Trainer showcases some of the worlds best trainers as they also share their journeys from punishment to reward based training systems.
Her successful Leash Aggression Classroom, an online dog training classroom and podcast, helps dog owners without access to dog trainers maneuver the difficulties of owning a leash aggressive dog. Ines’ patient and understanding style has made her one of the most popular trainers in the country.
Ines is certified through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), and is a Professional Member of the Pet Professionals Guild. She also continually expands her education by attending conventions, seminars, and workshops.
Ines is owned two dogs, Loker, a 5 year old Husky/Shepherd mix, and Clark, a 2 year old Cardigan Welsh Corgi. They continue to teach her lessons about dogs and training everyday and she loves them for it. Loker was reactive on leash, but has learned to behave properly through consistent training. Clark excels at everything in life and thoroughly enjoys being the center of attention during humane education presentations at schools or other events.
