Amy Weeks
Amy is the owner of Amy’s Canine Kindergarten, a dog training company based in Tampa, Florida, which provides group and private dog training lessons, as well as behavioral consultations. She is a Victoria Stilwell Positively Dog Trainer, a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
Amy has worked as an instructor for Florida Guide Dogs for the Deaf and Therapetics Service Dogs of Oklahoma. She is a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, CAP 1 certified through Kay Lawence’s Competency Assessment Program for Clicker Trainers and a member of The Pet Professional Guild.
She has written articles for Bella Dog Magazine and numerous newspapers throughout the country and is published in “ADPT’s Tips from Top Trainers.
Amy is a fierce advocate for positive training methods as well as educating parents and children on bite prevention. She provides presentations for Dogs & Storks and Dog & Toddler programs and is a certified Family Pet Parent Educator. She also presents “doggone safe”, a bite prevention program aimed at school aged children.
She currently lives in Tampa with her husband, three children, two dogs, and cat.
