Must Watch: Veteran and Bomb-Sniffing Dog Reunited
When Iraq veteran Sgt. Jason Bos had to leave the Army due to a back injury almost two years ago, he feared that he would never get the chance to see his canine partner, MWD Cila, again.
Little did he know he would have the opportunity to adopt the labrador retriever, who he had nicknamed "Cici" during their time together.
Bos and Cici trained together for months prior to deploying, and served multiple tours together. Cici was specially trained to sniff out explosives, and she and Bos were inseparable on and off duty. But when Bos retired from the Army, Cici still had several good working years left, so the two were forced apart.
When the time came for Cici to retire, Bos jumped at the chance to adopt her. She will spend the rest of her days relaxing as a pet, and after many years of serving her country, that's exactly the life she deserves.
