I want to buy a pool for my dog, but I'm afraid he might break it. Do you think this pool will do?

Actually now I want to buy a different kind. I hear these plastic ones are cheap, around $8-$20, depending on size and where I get it. I can't find it anywhere. Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, etc. don't seem to have it.

They could be all sold out-- in my area, all of the stores, even the little grocery store, have a display of them all stacked up together out front, near the doors. If you don't see any, ask the employee working the garden section. They might have a stash of them somewhere. It is still hot in many areas of the country, so they can't be put away yet. If they are out, they might even order some more, if you put in a request.

Uh... there's no guarantee of that. The last time I took my girls to the lake, Dottie peed in the water. But since she lived in a kennel for so long before we got her, she is really accustomed to going wherever she happens to be at the moment-- outside, that is.
Annie does not pee in the lake, though, as far as I've seen.
I guess it really depends on the dog.

Our Petsmart doesn't sell it. I checked with the store by calling them. I'll try Wal-mart again, though I can't drive. Oh well, I'll just wait until the next time my mom goes shopping again!

I let Merle swim in an in-ground pool a few times. Thankfully, depth doesn't bother her as it's 3ft-9ft. Chihuahuas could probably get enough exercise in a little wading pool.
