They told when I called the shelter that they gave him one of the monthly things, but they didn't test him first. I usually give mine heartguard from like the end of March until the 1st frost which was last month so I haven't bought any for him yet. (Those months cover the mosquito season where I live). I couldnt get him in until Monday for xrays and I will ask them to test him then.
