I was wondering if the "Don't touch the ears in order for them to stick up" is true or a myth?
I read somewhere that the muscles to his ears are attached to the muscles to his jaws, so if you let the dog chew enough to strenghthen those muscles, well it does the work.
I have a mixed GSD + Husky, i dont know if she's gonna get pointy ears although they are going towards that way. She's 5 months old, but her ears seem too huge to stand up.Plus i dont know if she has any other breeds in her.
Anyways my main question is if petting the ears theory is a myth.
Thanks in advanced!

Re: Ears
If you think about a puppy, they are all about growth and formation, the tiny ligament and muscles in their ears are also developing and growing. While I do not believe petting the ears gently will cause harm, certainly I do not recommend pulling on the ears, or rough rubbing.
