Reiki for dogs??

Post by ladybug1802 »

Has anyone had any experience of reiki being practiced on their dogs?? I have heard it is meant to slowly help with stress and 'imbalance' etc...but have no knowledge of alternative therapies so not sure if it is worth it or not? I was thinking of trying it with Dylan to see if it helps him with his nervousness?

I'm sure Mattie will be online soon - she does Reiki, and is very high up. She'll give you good advice :D

Ditto, wait for Mattie. She can help you out. Meanwhile you can also do research on TTouch. Look for the book by Linda Tellington-Jones who created it.

Dogs usually love Reiki, it is just a form of hands on healing which anyone can do, it is the intent that matters, if that is strong enough you can help heal your dog. As you are not used to doing this, put one hand on your dog's head or just behind it, the other either at the base of the tail or the end of the tail and wish strongly for your dog to be healled or stress free.

Emotional Freedom is another that may help, you do feel stupid at first but it works, I used to use it on Joe. http://123eft.com/eft-trial.htm

TTouch is also good, there is a lot on the internet now.
