Favor perhaps?

Post by Poloplatinum »

Can you do me a favor emmabeth? Can you recommend certain mental toys for dogs based on breed?
Or is more of what you described as the type/temperant of dog being the more important factor?

I'm no expert but I'd guess at temperament being more important than actual breed. If you've got a dog like mine who's easily frustrated and not interested enough to really work for anything you can give then anything more than a Kong filled with stuff that comes out easily is too much effort while if you have one who really likes to figure things out and is motivated by something you can use with the toys then things like the nina ottesson ones I see recommended here would be good. I'm sure my BC mix would have loved them, he liked a challenge.
