Rendering Facilities used for Pet food.

Post by Appa_valley »

Just found this page about how the rendering facilities work. Don't really know if it's credible or not, but still interesting.

It certainly used to be widely done in the recent past. There was a big TV expose in the 1990s (check out Canine Health Concern website)Since then, some pet food companies have smartened their act up - and some haven't.
A dog is never bad or naughty - it is simply being a dog

That's pretty scary. I'm hoping to at least switch to half raw and half commercial (just to dip my toes in the water :) ) Just have to research more and check out prices. Thankfully we know alot of hunters, have to check with them, too! :D
