Puppy Puke

Post by Leigha »

One of the puppies is vomiting. We're not sure which one it is because we don't see puppy in the act of doing it. It looks and feels like curdled milk (or cottage cheese I suppose). It's happened twice in the last two days. What do you think might be going on? Should we call the vet? It's not throwing up the solid food we're feeding it, just the milk after they nurse (and it's not immediate either, they nursed a few hours ago and haven't eaten solid food since this morning, and just threw up while we were outside playing with the grown ups).

Might be something: might be nothing. Keep a Momma's eyes on the brood to see if one starts looking "flat". If it does - puppies go from 100% well to very ill in hours - off to the vet with it. If they all seem fat and lively, don't worry.
A dog is never bad or naughty - it is simply being a dog
