Overfeeding?

Post by Leigha »

Dixie is eating us out of house and home. I'm not sure if it's HER of it's ME overfeeding her. In a day she eats about three quarters of a chicken (we buy either already cooked rotisserie chickens from the grocery store, or whole fryers that we boil and pick apart) 6 or so veggie cubes, and yogurt. Does that seem a bit much? I didn't really notice it until we sat down today while I was cooking ANOTHER chicken and figured out just how much we're feeding her.

How tall is she? How is her weight gain progressing?

It doesn't sound a lot to me, but I am used to feeding big houndy things.

Watch her waist line, this will tell you if she is getting overweight, it is what I do with a dog that comes as a skeleton covered in skin :D She is getting a good diet, I wouldn't worry too much at the moment as long as there arn't any other problems.
