He might just have an itchy butt, he might have an anal gland problem or it might be worm activity as a result of his recent worming. Check with your vet if he can be wormed again - I forget his age - puppies are normally wormed every 2 weeks until 6 months old, then monthly until a year old, then as directed by your vet. Very wormy adult dogs (eg from neglect or having lived ferally) need a veterinary programme of worming to get everything cleansed out as it hatches and matures.

Raw food only leads to more worms if fresh wild meat is fed eg venison, rabbit etc. which is why we freeze the meat for a month first - then no chance of worms. Raw diet is also beneficial to anal glands.

I know it seems really ukky :x but it's easily dealt with.

It can be worms, infection in the anus, or the anal sacks need to be expressed (cleaned). Could try taking him to a groomer to get the sacks expressed and see if that helps. When it comes to worms causing the itch, you will see worms in the stool.

what was he wormed for? Usually if this was a "routine" puppy worming, it would not include tape worms. So, I would want to know what exactly the dog was wormed for. A fecal sample taken to your vet can tell you immediately what type of worm to target, if any. Also please check your references before you take your dog to a groomer for anal gland expression, if the procedure is done incorrectly, it can build up scar tissue that will give your dog no end of grief later on in life.
