Hello everyone

Post by Soph »

Soph here, I adopted a seven year old female staffy cross In march this year. She is a little smasher and so very loved, however as she had a rough start in life and spent day after day inside with just a tennis ball to play with we have a real problem with other dogs ! :( She has grown to love the other male bull terrier in the family but It was hard going at first. My father has recently adopted another male staffy and they are due to meet. Any hints and tips on how to achieve a successful introduction would be very welcome. I would love her to get on with other dogs and want this introduction to be less stressful than the first for both of us. Ps she is called Brandy and I love her to bits :D X

He he, that didn't take long! I'd post this again in the dog training advice section as that's where the people that REALLY know their stuff check the most :D

When you post over there add in what her average day is like (exercise, training, what she eats etc) and also more detail about how she reacts to other dogs (on lead, off lead, what distance away do they need to be etc). Err on the side of lots of detail :D

Hello and welcome aboard! :D

It would be best if you have all the dogs meet in a neutral territory.
