Novascotian Duck Tolling Retriever...2nd try!

Post by ladybug1802 »

Just want to give it one more go to see if anyone knows much about this breed? Several people have said, in the year I have had Dylan, that he looks like one and I am intrigued. I am sure he has collie in him because of his mannerisms, his herding, his brilliance at agilioty etc, but he is definitely the colour of a NSDT Retriever, and has similar characteristics.

I would be SO interested to know if anyopne knows anything about them...or how to to tell if he is one or part of one!!

You can get red collies too.

NSDTR are quite small dogs, well below knee height and quite solid little things (though I only saw them at a show and I thought also there was quite a degree of variation between them, some being quite a bit longer in the body than others).

There are not that many around though even now so the chances that Dylan is one or is a cross is still quite slim. A red collie x is more likely.
