Hi all
Me and my sister are still researching other terriers and are liking the SCWT. They seem less terrier than most from what I have read. Barking can be controlled I think?
Can anyone give me any info on them
Many thanks

Big terriers with a strong working background. Not as strong as some, but they are all terrier!

Thanks Nettle.
After further research we are settled on the SCWT.
I'm only use to males from when I had Theo, but have read advice on here that suggests female may be eaiser for a first dog as even though this is my second dog it's my first terrier and my Sisters first dog so do you think female might be easier than a male SCWT?

Choose your breeder and your pup carefully, and you can have either gender in this case.

Only known a couple - both pretty nervous which I gather is not uncommon.
Not very numerous so you run into the problems of a small gene pool.

Wheatens are beautiful dogs.
My cousin has three. There not nervous at all I suspect the ones mum24dog had met were either not been trained, socialised right or had not received enough socialisation or was from bad breeding lines.
A true SCWT is not nervous and is people loving and loves life and is a true terrier.
Here's some info from the breed club and my cousin fit the description well

Hers are fantastic dogs two of them do Agility and the other is really doing well in heel work to music and has won at competitions. They can be stubborn but there worth all the effort.
One of my favourite breeds but they are too lively for me
