Labrador breeders?

Post by Newsomefamily »

Hi all

After my first post we did further research and talked to breeders and we decided on the Labrador.

Elsa I have left in charge of finding good breeders. Elsa has found these tow that we all like but wanted to check before phoning them if you all thought they looked as good as Elsa thinks they are.

Here's the first one

Here's his first lab http://www.champdogs.co.uk/dog/42591

Second lab. http://www.champdogs.co.uk/dog/53733

Here's his website. http://www.tonavima.co.uk/

Here's the second breeders she owns more labs so you can look through them.

I'm no an expert but I like both they seem really good breeders. However I do like the look of the first breeder more.

They do really good health testing and both do something with there dogs. I do thing the first breeder might suit you more being a first time owner as canine partners took one of his breeders and as far as I know they like pups who are calm as and they have to be well bred to do a job like that? Although I could be wrong.

I agree they look like really good breeders but again I'm not an expert.

Can't see the structure of the dogs with the pics provided. At least they don't look overweight, but again, from those pics it's hard to tell much of anything! Will have another look later to see more about them. Gotta run for now. :)

Depends what you want in a dog. I would always look for working bred of any breed so the first one wouldn't interest me at all. On the other hand, if you want a relatively calm pet and don't intend to do anything particularly active with it Mau e the first one would hit you better.

Just read your earlier thread. Puppies of any breed or crossbreed are hard work and it seems like you will be the main carer with your daughters away or working, plus who knows what the future holds for them?

That being the case the choice should ultimately be yours and should take into account expense and easy access to places for exercise appropriate to the dog as you don't have a car.

If you are set on a lab then the first breeder would probably suit you better but even show bred dogs are not all couch potatoes.

Have you not considered something smaller?

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

Yasmin my youngest will probably move out sometime in the future but Elsa won't she's told me that if she moves she want me to go with her as she does not want me to be alone.

So I will always have Elsa help. We are very happy with the lab and with Elsa staying with me she's not a small dog person. She has pointed out a lot about guide dogs going on buses.
