Thanks Erica, I agree the Bernie is the best choice.

They are meeting the woman I know who owns the breed today, they have spoken with the breed club and are still interested so hopefully it goes well today.

The benefit of a Bernese is if you get tired just strap him up to a cart and you've got your own transport. :lol: I did something similar with my old Lurcher and rollerblades. He ran full pelt along the road pulling me on my skates. It was probably really dangerous, he was very quick (as many people here are all to aware!), but we both had fun and no accidents were had. 1990s version of canicross. :D

Just wanted to let you all know that they have decided to go with the Bernese after meeting a few and doing loads more research.
