Communication Failure

Post by Nettle »

Oh if people only realised what their dogs were telling them..... :?

Just back from afternoon walk. We encountered a smallish dog on extending lead whose owner seemed intent on blocking our way. Because the paths on this walk are nice and wide, I eventually managed to detour around them with my dogs tucked in on the far side, while little dog went ballistic, snarling, snapping, screamy-barking, lunging etc.

Owner said to me, "He just loves other dogs"

Yeah - right -

He probably just wanted to play. Dogs on flexi-leads usually do.

Oh nettle, had the same thing happen to me while having coffee the other day. Little snarking dog 'wanted to say hi' to two borzoi that were laying under our feet. One grab with that back breaking shake would have been all it would have taken. ..........sigh.
