That really is a good link. I've had so many arguments about this. I never understand why people get tiny puppies and put them in the laundry room and expect them to not to cry.

I agree, good article.
Dogs are not trying to manipulate you with their crying, they have not sat down and drawn up plans to try and control you so their every basic need is met.
I think people forget that dogs are not children. Children are often able to manipulate their parents by crying.
