Ideas ?

After having lots of descutions with mom one thing we both want from our second dog is to have a similar temperament as a Labrador. The Golden and Labrador would be a no though for my mom but we like the happy go lucky love everyone and everything outlook on life that labs have and how confident the...

Re: Ready made raw feeds

He LOVES it, but it doesn't love his belly. We mixed it with his Eukanuba and his poos just got worse overnight. We kept with it for a few more days of them mixed just to see if it was just changing over that upset him, but they never did improve. We stopped the Wolfworthy and he's back to 'normal'...

Re: Breed watch scheme?

The usual - Google something like 'what are healthy dog breeds', which will bring up loads of lists, lthen ook at the selected breeds and see which appeal, Google the breed name and 'health problems', then read, read and read more and use your common sense. Bear in mind that US strains may be diffe...

Re: Hip scores?

Thought I would post the reply I got from the golden retriever club incase it might be of interest. "There is a balance to be struck when breeding, taking into consideration all the attributes pf the parents, not just hip scores. There is no guarantee that low scoring parents will always produc...

Re: Breed watch scheme?

Not necessarily, is the answer. The lists seem to focus on conformation, i.e. things that judges should be aware of and look for, rather than health problems they are susceptible to. So, for instance, King Charles Cavaliers are Category 1 ('Currently no points of concern specific to this breed have...

Lotsaquestions wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2018 3:35 pm The sample of Wolfworthy arrived, so I mixed that with his Eukanuba today. So far he is really enjoying it, time will tell if he poos get better. They were already improving with Eukanuba but weren't as good as when he was on raw.
How's merlin getting on with his wolfworthy?

Breed watch scheme?

Hi As some of you know me and mom are planning a second dog in the future and are trying to pick a breed. We now Sampson likes females more than males so our next dog will be a girl. Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

Interesting, so it's not just him :D I made up for him not getting out much yesterday because of the rain , it was a nice day so I took him out for the day to Blackpool and we spent half of the day enjoying the beach which he LOVED and I loved seeing him roll in the sand and just go crazy with excit...

Re: Multi Dog Households.

Agree with everything Nettle says , I was going to say to wait until he has matured but I wanted to see if a more experienced member says it so I know I'm right in suggesting it. I'd love another dog and Sampson is already an adult but I want to wait until at least a year so we can bond more and get...

Re: Multi Dog Households.

In my limited experience I know the more experienced members of my family who own dogs always say they would never have to females in the same household as females fight to the death. I know that female \male is the best pairing and then male\male. I think maybe if your certain merlin will like a do...
