Re: New puppy. Potty training tips please :)

I personally believe it is best to keep a pup sleep indoors for at least the first year so you are able to reinforce good behaviors, and prevent bad ones. For the first months I make shure my dog is crated near me when I sleep at night (to create a bond). If you play, walk, socialize, and train your...

Re: Loose Lead Walking gentle ideas for a reactive gsd?

My problem is that if I do take him out only for a few mins he gets anxious, I do lot of brain games , and training through out the day but if he does not get his off leash time at the park he drives me more nuts. I wish I had some super dog training powers... :?

Re: New puppy. Potty training tips please :)

How old is the puppy? Is she/he living in the yard? If your pup is only peeing and pooping in the backyard consider it a good thing. Re: A new little problem

First start teaching him to come to you at home with no distractions.. when he comes to you give him treats, praise, or play (say his name only once never twice, and never show treats to bribe him to you). When he is ready take him outside (you can tell he is ready when he comes everytime he is call...

Re: Should I stop for now? (clicker training)

Good evening guys! Yeah I think I need to realise how to not get him over stressed. I ask myself should I twice a week walk him in new places for longer periods of time, and then in between make shure he rest, and do late night walks. I have been trying to take him out where there is less dogs aroun...

Re: A puppy 0 to 2 years old.

Young Adulthood 18-24 months Many dogs may show a rise in aggression levels during this time. They may become protective and territorial and take advantage of any relaxation of the guidelines set by the owner. My black lab mix is 12 months old and he hasn't been vocal at all since we got him from t...
