Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
The pugs I've met have been... special. Our neighbour's pug is described, by my neighbour, as 'the weird child who watches all the other children play' because he just has zero doggy ettiquette. He also doesn't know his name, at all. He's had his name since 8 weeks, they've tried positive trai...

Re: Almost 7 month old Pup
Been working hard on avoiding any trigger I think might 'trigger' him. It seems it is definately men, and embarassingly, asian men... I am not sure if one of the vets that scared him was asian, or something spooked him, or I don't know. He wags his backside for white men, he barks at asian men. All ...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
Grumpy Jasper! Bubbles are marvellous! We tried them with my parents' two dogs. One is a rescue who is scared of his own skin, as expected he ran away from a bubble. The other is a Yorkshire Terrier who thinks life isn't about fun, but instead it is serious business. She frowned at my mum's shenanig...

Re: Almost 7 month old Pup
Ok today he was Mr Dream Dog. Saw dogs, people, cars, nothing seemed to spook him and he was hugely responsive... Then on the way home he saw a man and for some reason the man was scary and he barked at the man. The man called him over and was like 'I'm not afraid of dogs!' which was strange, but th...

Re: Almost 7 month old Pup
Just took him out again (very brief - he refuses to toilet in the garden - in fact since his colitis he's refusing to even step on the lawn in our garden...) and he barked at car headlights. He's seen those every single evening of his life with no issues. If he's still spooked tomorrow morning on hi...

Re: Almost 7 month old Pup
I thought that but he was fine before our last bout of bed rest. More than fine, he was a dream to walk, very confident and happy and his reactivity was just excitement, which we were getting to grips with. Last two days he's been different. Yesterday evening it was just a little bit of anxiety with...

Re: Almost 7 month old Pup
I just don't know what is going wrong... He has backslid completely. Off lead he's great, on lead he is barking at EVERYTHING. Dogs are the biggest trigger, but its like he's on edge. He was barking at gates, at front gardens, at three dogs. But we get to the park and he's a different dog. He's happ...

Re: Taking your dog to Spain?
I think you need to have a rabies vaccination to get a pet passport within the EU. The information will be somewhere on the UK gov's website.
As for hotels and dogs, I personally would say look for a self catering cottage / villa as they will be more likely to allow them.

Re: What she loves about them
Yeah I did when I was thinking of a GSD, they were the only breeders I liked the look of in the end. Maybe one day when I have a bigger house & garden I'll actually follow through and have one.

Well Mysti Skies still breed GSDs, so she could go directly to them.

Re: Almost 7 month old Pup
Hopefully Merlin can trust me in time! He used to but I guess now his confidence is lower from his neuter and two months bed rest he needs to learn to again.
