Thank you for your advice when using a brush. Where he has the most anxiety is with clippers and clipping nails. I am looking for a new groomer that believes in positive treatment and will work with him each time we go in.

My post was written after reading how WE ALL FELT about the training techniques. The intent was not personal only suggesting that if they followed the advice of Victoria, their Schnauzer would learn proper behavior. Seriously, I will be happy to give your Schnauzer a new home! Both of you need to watch Victoria's videos, because you will never teach any dog good behavior with your shocking "techniques".

I just wateched Victoria's " it's me or the dog" show on this very behavior; three Great Danes. I would suggest finding the video on the website. Basically, she removed them from the room when someone came to the door. Another video, she taught two dogs to stay on a mat once the door bell ...

Grooming Anxiety

My Shih Tzu, a rescue, has extreme anxiety when he has to be groomed. He bites quickly at your hand and the grooming tool. Any suggestions to turn the grooming experience into a positive mindset?
