Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
Because I'm my age, I was a little late to watching a lot of RW's movies. (Very much better late than never) I remember being terrified by Jumanji and slightly terrified by Flubber as a kid, but those movies were always playing in the background of great memories I have from when I was younger. I'm ...

That's good to hearSweetie's Human wrote: Anyway, she's back to bossing us about so she must be feeling better
Anatine, that optional primate behavior unit sounds super exciting and enticing.

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
That would be a really cool course if it included studying behavior in that way. I feel like wildlife behavior in an Ecology and Conservation course would involve things like migration patterns or mating behavior affecting population growth or something. I always wish I was better at the ecology sid...

I second the Spaghetti O's/Hoops. I'm one of those strange people who enjoys math and thinks diseases are fun, so Biomedical Engineering seems perfect to me. My dad got his undergrad in Animal Husbandry but didn't finish vet school, so I thought I would just see what that was like. It was really coo...

Oh my gosh, Judy. I really believed you there about the "fancy clip" for a good 10 seconds. In my head I was saying, "Oh, wow. How..............interesting." And I loved beans on toast when I was visiting some cousins. I do prefer good 'ol Bush's Baked Beans with my Texas B...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
Well, I don't know if anyone will remember me because I haven't posted in about a year (and the last post before that was another year back). School has been keeping me really busy, but in the blink of an eye I'm a high school senior. So Max turned 10 in May. We've had continued success with his wei...

Re: air travel
Since Molly is a lab, she wouldn't be able to fly in the cabin. I recommend checking the websites of the potential airlines and also find testimonials of other pet owners. Honestly, flying animals in the cargo hold terrifies me. I know only the horror stories about airlines and pets get published an...

Re: Christmas list
Dr. Nicholas Dodman published a really interesting book called "The Dog Who Loved Too Much: Tales, Treatments and the Psychology of Dogs" that I loved. Although I really LOVED and appreciated Other End of the Leash, I enjoyed her "For the Love of a Dog: Understanding Emotion in You an...

Re: Zak George does a mini vid interview for us!
UPDATE: Zak is no longer going to be a part of Who Let the Dogs Out? He said the direction the BBC wanted to go with the show did not agree with his ideas anymore. At the moment, he is offering trick classes here in the states and is having a lot of fun with them.

Re: ear infections
Many vets are mortified if the idea of "people food" let alone a raw diet is brought up. Chicken is always a good place to start. We have many informative threads on raw feeding in this section (Health, Diet and Exercise) section of the forum.

Re: Need food and treat suggestions, please
There's a recipe on here somewhere on how to make your own dried liver treats, but I'm not sure how great they are in large amounts at one time. Pieces of carrots or fruit works great, but sometimes you need a high-value reward for something and the hotdog or liver would be great. Baby food can be u...

Re: Moving house tips
I've heard it's best for cats to be moved in once everything in the house is the way it is going to be when you are all done moving in. It reduces the stress of a new environment because if you move the cats in before everything is settled, something changes everyday. I watched a video of a guy movi...

Re: dogs and their memory capacity
I'm just really thankful that Max has "forgiven" me for how awful I was to him when he and I were younger and I hadn't discovered a different way of training.
Orapup
Not sure if this belongs in Grooming or Health, Diet, and Exercise. I was wondering about y'all's opinions about this new product called the Orapup. ( http://www.orapup.com/?src=yt ) It is the doggy equivalent of the Orabrush (which is growing more and more popular everyday). The Orabrush is basical...
