Hi foolsgold, what do you think of Jan Fennels methods? I have always treated my dogs much the same way as she does before I ever heard of her. Alot of people on another forum I was on said she has ruined more dogs than she has helped. I didn't agree with them, and they wouldn't accept my oppinion ...

Im think jans book is very interesting and is a must read,but i agree with Emma regarding one size not fitting all.

I will be checking out aidens book recomondation.

Its a stab in the dark,but i imagine he gains something from it,this maybe negative or possitive attention.Try ignoreing this behavior and as soon he stops whining give him a treat or possitive attention,when he starts to whine turn away and ignore nd repeat. Books about dogs thread.

I have read victorias book which is great,and im Know reading The dog listener by Jan Fennell,which im enjoying also :)

If anyone has any recomendations or reviews,that would be great :)

Babies and dogs toys

Freinds of mine are having a baby soon and wanted tips on how to deal the with their dog which is very possessive over his toys, and how to stop their dog chewing the babies toys when the time comes :)

Have any of you seen this show presented by Cesar Millan.I watched it yesterday and found some of his training a little harsh,but it seemed to work well for the dog.

To be honest,if the dog did bite your baby,i feel that the dog should go.Trying to keep a child and a dog apart that live in the same house is almost impossible,and if anything happened to your child,it would be to late to turn the clock back.
