Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

I liked the world building and it being very unique in culture, but at parts I thought it was more of a characature of african culture rather than a homage to it. A bit like if I went and saw a film where there was a secret english island and everyone was walking around with a cup of tea and a monoc...

I actually found Black Panther to be really boring. I think because I went in expecting a fun marvel film after Ragnarok and it ended up being far too serious.

Lovely to hear Lara and Sampson are getting along! I demand pictures.

I am going to see Infinity Wars, and me and the OH have been watching every MCU film again in order in preparation. Ant Man tonight.

Re: Homemade dog treats

Will have to try this. I have a dehydrator and it sounds like something I could make with that!

if the infection is going all the way to his inner ear that 100% would make him dizzy and wack off his balance
Well he's definately clumsy lately whatever the cause. He tripped over himself whilst paddling in a lake and ended up on his arse.

If there's gunk in his ear, the drops might be making it swell a little and therefore feeling more uncomfortable?
No idea, these were given to us by the vets so we're going to do the full course. Hope it is a 'get worse before it gets better' type deal.

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

So sorry to hear that :(. It never gets easier, but at least you always have your memories. I think Merlin's ear infection has destroyed his centre of gravity. He was Mr Clumsy today on his walk. Weirdly since we've been putting these new ear drops in it seems to have gotten worse. He's shaking his ...

Re: Lead stroking

I've tried all sorts of calming products, and I am not sure if they made any difference ( was never noticeable at any rate). I have some Zylkene still to try so I'll give that a go for next time. He used to wear adaptil collars but I couldn't say if they worked or not, it was just a 'may aswell try'...

Re: Lead stroking

How did you get Jasper to accept drops going in? I need to give Merlin some just to see if his ear clears up. The vets went terribly for us. Merlin wouldn't let her check his ears or his heart, so we are hoping his ear is just a small infection and not something stuck ini t. She did manage to empty ...

Re: Lead stroking

LoQ, if the vet tried to get blood out of J I've no doubt he'd try to get blood out of the vet  Rofl! Maybe he thinks the vet needs a good old blood work up, he's only looking out for his wellbeing! Merlin is still at the short 'grr' step on the ladder at the moment when he wants the vet to s...

Re: Lead stroking

Yeah I am not sure on TTouch. I think most dogs enjoy being massaged so in that sense I can see it being relaxing (Merlin for instance will calm down instantly when I massage his back legs) but more than that I'm not sure. Lead stroking just seems silly. Thanks Nettle, Merlin is already feelin...

Re: Lead stroking

Merlin eats anything and everything, on Sunday he licked some cream egg up off the pavement at scent class and we think that upset him. Either that or the filthy lake water he shoved his head into or literally anything else. Getting to the point where a muzzle might be needed, he can find things bef...

Re: Lead stroking

How weird. Merlin is sick atm which means he is ultra anxious when he walks up the street and barks at everything. I'll try stroking the lead, but I have a feeling I'll end up looking like a crazy person stroking the lead whilst a fluffy nightmare wakes up the world. Like this? https://youtu.b...

I just put one penny down next to each crack. I didn't have any wire so it was an interim thing just incase it worked. Not sure if it is the pennies, or that they just gave up looking for food.
