Re: How you picked out your dog
My dogs have almost all been from a rescue. I chose this last one because even though i had to pick it from a litter it had the most beautiful eyes that kept calling. It also ran up to me and my husband. We thought it was really cute and needed a loving home. We also changed its name to give it a fr...

Re: Grooming Equipment
I know it isn't a grooming table, but I got this http://www.petstreetmall.com/Booster-Bath/10044/1279/ a while ago because my back was giving me fits bending over the tub. Its been great for bathing but I'm not sure how well it would work with the hair trimming since it has those side walls.

Re: 9 week old puppy over excitement
I think a bit of mental and physical stimulation would help. The toys as well as a bit of exercise. Do you ever take it for walks?
Re: Drying

Re: Dog refuse to leave a car or go home
If he doesent want to go back home i am thinking it could be that the other dog is threatening or attacking, it faces separation anxiety if the owner is never around and the other dog is not friendly or, which i highly doubt it is not being treated as it should be at home. Would also love to know mo...

Re: First scuffle, should I be worried?
That's a perfectly normal and appropriate reaction from her. I wouldn't worry! I think from your post you're already planning, if this happens again, to remove her from the situation before it gets too much for her, which is the appropriate action on your half too. If you can find some dogs of some...

Re: Hairy Ear Canals
So hairly breeds have problems with hair in their ear canals. There is always that debate as to whether it is healthy to pluck or not to pluck hair in the ear canals. Personally i have not had problems with plucking i started it early and it works well. If you have a sensitive dog, it would be neces...

Re: dog wont eat
Most common reasons a rescue dog would have a problem with diet is either because it is still adopting to the new environment and diet or because there is another underlying problem with it. If it got a check and is medically sound, i think the problem is most likely the new diet. With time it can a...

Great post! Now i know what to expect if i ever get a female dog. Part of the reason that i've been afraid is knowing how to deal when it's the season, great learning thanks.

Hey, calm down. I think it did well for a first. Terriers have astonishing instincts to hunt and kill the rats so don't blame him
