Re: The Funnies Thread...

i was disapointed at the hats. you can always count on the british to wear ridiculous tiny hats and while there were tiny hats in abundance there werent many that were truly outlandish. Do you remember Eugenie and Beatrice's outfits at Will & Kate's wedding? Maybe someone had a quiet word in their ...

I was annoyed at the comment that Serena Williams was one of the greatest female tennis players in the world - did they really need to include the word 'female'?

Re: 5 years later

i mean, you've seen my posts since the beginning Judy, do you honestly think he would do THIS well? i feel like it flies in the face of everything i was told when i got him. I've always thought the main problem you were up against was your home environment, which was really challenging for him and ...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

Four days???? That's crazy. I thought in the US a couple of weeks was standard - in the UK you're entitled to 20 days (if working full time) plus 8 days bank holidays.

So you can't even go away for a week's holiday :(

Re: The Funnies Thread...

Not dog-related at all, but I'm still giggling over my favourite bit of today's royal wedding - when we caught a glimpse of Meghan in the car on the way to the church and Kirsty Young commentated 'We can see she's wearing a veil - but for now, not much more than that'

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

There must be loads of people who work all day who would struggle to get to the vet then? I know, obviously, if it was an emergency you'd find a way, but what about all the people who just want to get their cats' boosters done but work full time? And you don't even get much annual leave in the US, d...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

Is it definitely a wound, Shalista? I don't know if you get Alabama Rot where you are, but over here we've all got a bit twitchy about unexplained sores. Overly twitchy, in many cases - one dog gets Alabama Rot after walking on a local heath, and although that dog had also recently walked in several...

all it is is there looking for a dog whose laid back in the house once been given his\her exercise for the day
The classic type for that is a lurcher (depending on cross) or greyhound

Re: Helping choose

Apparently they need quite a lot of exercise though - I've read they need a good two hours a day plus mental stimulation. I guess if they don't get that, they're not going to be quite so docile.

Re: Helping choose

There's plenty of puppies in rescues as so many b!tches arrive pregnant. But then of course you have little idea about the father.

Re: Helping choose

They really need to do some independent research. They wouldn't be the first breeder to make claims for their dogs that don't match the reality.

Re: Helping choose

I agree with LoQ - several websites say they aren't suitable for first-time owners. Or that they are, but with a lot of BUTs.
