    Hi Victoria,
I am a huge fan and my best friend Patricia has a problem with her 1yr old Cavashon Cooper. He is very well tempered but has seperation issues. When she and her husband Walter leave the house, Cooper seems to become distructive. They have another dog, a Beshon named Sophia. She is fabulous (no problems there), but when Cooper acts up it seems to get her going as well. When I go over to puppy-sit I generally walk into torn up papers & he moves the furniture to pull up the area rug in the living room. He also occassionally goes #2 in the house (I believe on spite). Can you help them with Cooper so they can leave the house without worrying about Cooper destroying shoes, papers, etc?

    Thank you,
    Ms. Lee Scheeler

I recently rescued a 1 year old spayed female pitbull. My neutered male 2 year old shiba inu keeps attacking her. He gets along good with most female dogs but has been a terror ever since I brought her home 3 weeks ago. I have to keep them separated while at home and have a really difficult time when I try to walk them together (the shiba keeps snapping at her or worse) In addition, the pitbull has terrible separation anxiety so I have to keep her crated while I am at work. I tried confining her to one room but she chewed the wall and door.
I am in the Albany, New York area. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi, I have a 5 year old male Lhasa Apso who gets along well with my boyfriend's 9 year old female Labrador Retriever. The problem is that my boyfriend also has a cat. The Lab and the cat get along fine since they have always lived together. We recently moved in together and my little Lhasa has never lived with a cat before and he chases the cat nonstop around the house when the poor cat gets brave enough to come inside. I don't know how to stop my Lhasa's kitty chasing behavior. I would like all of the pets to live in harmony especially since the cat cannot obviously spend too much time outside during our rough winters. Please help!

Hooray for Puppy Mills!!

I’m not a politician, and I have never claimed to be interested in or able to comprehend what I’m sure are the delicate intricacies of how to create and enforce effective legislation. I’m not big on telling people what they want to hear just for the sake of a few egos, and no one has ever accused me of being too soft on those I don’t necessarily agree with. What I do know about is common sense, and as disinterested in politics as I may be, I get pretty passionate about injustice and cruelty, especially towards those who can’t protect themselves...
